Another senseless killing in Seattle, and the only thing crazier than the crime is the verdict. A man who shot and killed a pregnant woman on the city’s streets in 2023 was just found not guilty—because he was labeled “insane.” That’s right. Justice in America’s blue cities now means you can murder a pregnant mother in cold blood and escape the consequences, as long as liberal experts deem you mentally unfit.
This is what you get when soft-on-crime policies and woke activism run the asylum—literally. The authorities will try to calm everyone by saying that the killer won’t be set free tomorrow, next week, or in the “immediate future.” Translation: Just wait until the next activist judge decides he’s “treated” enough to be back out on the streets. Are we supposed to feel better knowing there’s a calendar in the back room with his release date circled?
Every time a tragedy like this happens, the left perks up to tell us about compassion and so-called criminal justice reform. But what about the victims? What about the baby that never got to be born, or the family that has to live with this horror? Under progressive rule, the rights of the criminal always seem to trump those of the innocent.
Seattle used to stand for hard work and community values. Now it stands as a poster child for failed, globalist policies that treat every criminal as a misunderstood victim. The bureaucrats talk, the lawyers posture, and the rest of us are left to live with the carnage while “experts” debate what insanity really means. How many more bodies will pile up before common sense makes a comeback?
Only in America’s radical, left-wing cities can you shoot a pregnant woman and end up getting sympathy from the system. If this is justice, then why bother having laws at all? The answer is simple: the liberal establishment’s idea of “compassion” will get people killed. Who’s really insane here—the criminal or the politicians letting it happen?
