Texas refinery blast exposes the real threat to American energy security

A massive explosion rattled a Texas oil refinery in Port Arthur this week, once again highlighting just how much America’s backbone still relies on good old-fashioned energy. While liberals in Washington chatter endlessly about shutting down oil and gas, real Americans face danger and chaos every time our energy infrastructure is threatened. When that refinery blew up, families were told to shelter in place overnight—praying it wouldn’t get worse while politicians play climate games from their ivory towers.

This isn’t just another story about a fire. It’s a reminder that the people who run our country have no idea what keeps America running. The folks who actually power our homes and fuel our vehicles aren’t sitting in air-conditioned congressional offices. They live and work right in towns like Port Arthur, risking it all every shift, while the left tries to shut their livelihoods down. Liberals want us to believe America can run on windmills and shiny solar panels. If those ever catch fire, maybe the media would care for a minute.

The Biden administration and its green allies don’t have backup plans for real crises like this. When a refinery blows up, you can’t just plug in an electric car and wish it away. You can’t just put another solar panel on your roof and think everything will be fine. America needs oil, plain and simple. Hurting our energy production with endless regulations and anti-American policies only makes disasters more dangerous—and recovery harder for communities who get left in the dust.

The globalists don’t care, of course. They’ll gladly import oil from countries that hate us, as long as it checks the “climate” box. Meanwhile, American workers pay the price. Refineries like the one in Port Arthur are vilified every day by out-of-touch elites, but when the lights go out, everyone suddenly remembers who really makes the wheels turn.

So what’s more dangerous—one explosion in Texas, or the non-stop campaign to blow up what’s left of American energy independence? Maybe it’s time our leaders started protecting the people who keep the country standing, instead of bowing down to the radical agendas that put us all at risk.
