Los Angeles is waking up to a cold reality: City Hall’s favorite liberal, Karen Bass, is slipping. On paper, she might hold the lead as the city’s mayoral primary approaches. But a new poll shows the ground beneath her is cracking—and fast. Only 25% of voters are sticking with her. It’s not exactly a ringing endorsement for someone who promised hope and change in the belly of California’s deepest blue city.
What’s really telling is how quickly the vultures are circling. Far-left councilmember Nithya Raman is nipping at Bass’s heels with 17% support. And somehow, reality TV star Spencer Pratt has catapulted into third place with 14%. Only in crime-ridden, broken, hemorrhaging Los Angeles does a TV celebrity compete neck-and-neck with the radical socialists of City Hall. It’s embarrassing, but it shows just how desperate LA residents are for any alternative to liberal business as usual.
Bass rose to power selling empty progressive slogans, but life in LA has only gotten more miserable. Homeless encampments have exploded, violent crime has become the new background noise, and basic services sputter. The Democrats in charge have shown zero seriousness about fixing any of it. Voters are finally waking up—Bass’s support is weak because LA is tired of failed policies and woke excuses.
The writing is on the wall: Bass has lost the trust of her own base. She promised progress, but delivered only disorder. Even the city’s most loyal liberals are hunting for a lifeline—anyone but the establishment. This isn’t just a bad poll for Bass. It’s a full indictment of the left’s broken, globalist vision for America’s biggest cities.
Los Angeles is proof that progressive rule means more chaos and less safety. Residents know it, even if the politicians and media refuse to see it. So here’s the question: Will the city finally dump its failed leadership, or will it just trade one out-of-touch leftist for another? Time to send the message: Enough is enough.
