Every time a politician calls open borders “compassion,” another American family risks being torn apart forever. Just look at what happened in Illinois: a young girl named Katie Abraham, full of life and promise, was killed because Joe Biden and his allies decided that lawlessness is a virtue. An illegal immigrant, already deported once, came back across Biden’s broken border. This man crashed, drunk, into Katie’s car at almost 80 miles an hour. Now she’s gone. And the very politicians who empowered this disaster still brag about their “moral” leadership.
Why did this happen? Because Democrat leaders, like Governor JB Pritzker, have transformed Illinois into a sanctuary for illegal immigrants. These politicians bend over backwards to shield people who commit crimes just by being here. There’s no real vetting. No meaningful background checks. No health screening. Nothing that even comes close to common sense. These so-called leaders hand out the message: come one, come all, and don’t worry about American laws. Then, when tragedy strikes, they wash their hands and pat themselves on the back for their “kindness.”
This isn’t kindness. It’s negligence of the highest order. Biden’s regime and his open-borders puppet Mayorkas want Americans to believe that letting anyone in — without regard for public safety — is some morally superior act. If you dare to question this insanity, the woke mob jumps to smear you as racist or bigoted. But while they’re busy virtue-signaling for TV cameras, innocent people like Katie pay the real price.
And it gets worse. Their upside-down worldview doesn’t stop at the border. These same politicians want “restorative justice,” where repeat criminals are dumped right back onto the streets. Law and order get thrown out, all in the name of “progress.” Reality check: the only thing these so-called reforms accomplish is more violence, more victims, and more chaos. The politicians still lecture about compassion — but it’s always citizens, not criminals, who are left suffering.
Let’s be clear: a policy that kills families and destroys lives is not moral. No amount of self-congratulation or activist spin changes that ugly truth. But the left refuses to admit their failure. For them, the death of an American child is just collateral damage on the road to “equity.” How many more empty chairs at family tables will it take before politicians rediscover real morality? Maybe America needs fewer lectures, and more leaders who value their own citizens first.
