Dems let DC burn as cops are hunted and criminals rule the streets

America’s cities have been turned into war zones, and Washington, D.C., is at the center of the chaos. Two suspects are now in custody for the shooting of a U.S. Park Police officer last week. It’s about time. Law enforcement is being hunted like prey, and the left sits back and watches while crime runs rampant.

The so-called “leaders” of D.C. have failed time and time again. The crime rate is out of control because liberals treat criminals like victims and cops like the enemy. Criminals don’t care about gun laws—they care about easy targets. When will the left wake up and admit their weak, globalist policies put those who protect us right in the line of fire?

This wasn’t just any victim. This was an officer doing his job, serving the public, putting his life on the line for a city that would rather defend crooks than heroes. Meanwhile, politicians in D.C. turn every police shooting into a circus, but barely say a word when officers are gunned down. Where’s the outrage for this Park Police officer? Did CNN even blink? Of course not—their narrative only covers “victims” when it suits their anti-American agenda.

The arrests are a small victory, but it shouldn’t have happened in the first place. The left insists on disastrous “reforms” that tie cops’ hands and turn streets over to lawlessness. Add “defund the police,” and criminals think they own the city. Liberal policies have made clear to the criminal class that there are no consequences, and honest citizens pay the price.

Maybe it’s time for D.C. to try something new—like backing law enforcement and enforcing the law. Stop coddling thugs, stop kneecapping those who swore an oath to serve, and maybe we won’t see officers getting shot in the streets ever again. Or does the left want more chaos, just to push their control further? It’s enough to make you wonder whose side they’re really on.
