Why Liberal Fearmongering Over Iran Is the Real Threat to America

America needs to stop panicking every time a headline screams “Iran” and “economic chaos” in the same breath. Here’s the truth: the only thing scarier than the mullahs in Tehran is the stampede of liberal politicians and cable news anchors falling all over themselves to spread fear and uncertainty. Every time there’s a dust-up in the Middle East, the left does what it does best—stirs up a frenzy, warns about global disaster, and predicts that Americans will be eating beans out of cans by next week.

Kevin O’Leary, a man who actually understands economics, isn’t losing sleep over “Operation Epic Fury” and neither should we. The financial world isn’t about to implode because of tough talk with Iran. In fact, a lot of the loudest voices yelling about economic disaster don’t know the difference between Wall Street and Sesame Street. They want Americans afraid. They want panic, because scared voters are easy to control.

Let’s not forget, the same media that melts down over the mere suggestion of action against Iran never bats an eye when China bullies its neighbors or when the Biden administration hands over America’s energy independence to environmental extremists and globalist bureaucrats. Hypocrisy is the only thing liberals know how to produce in bulk. They claim to stand with working Americans, then push policies that make gas, groceries, and everything else more expensive every time there’s a blip overseas.

The talking heads wringing their hands about markets are really worried about their own bottom lines, and about losing power. If the economy thrives when America stands strong, their defeatist narrative crashes and burns. The fact is, a confident, assertive America is good for business. Trying to appease Iran and cowering in the corner at every provocation is exactly how we ended up with endless crises in the first place.

So yes, Americans should “chillax”—not because it’s trendy, but because the doomsayers have been wrong, again and again. Maybe it’s time the liberal elite stopped using every foreign policy event to push their anti-American, anti-energy agenda. If only they’d worry more about American jobs than Iranian mullahs’ feelings, this country might actually move forward. When will the left learn that fear-mongering doesn’t make us safer or richer—it just makes them louder?
