Democrats have stooped to a new low in their endless games over border security. As the country faces an ongoing shutdown, liberals are making it clear they don’t really care about protecting Americans. Instead of coming to the table with real solutions, Democrat lawmakers are fixated on making life easier for illegal immigrants and harder for the brave agents who put their lives on the line defending our borders.
This time, Democrats are demanding that immigration enforcement agents stop wearing masks. Seriously? In a world where criminals get every loophole and privacy right, now leftists want to strip that protection from the men and women who are risking their safety every day? It’s a slap in the face to law enforcement. It’s another sign that Democrats are more worried about coddling lawbreakers than about standing up for law and order.
But the madness doesn’t stop there. The left wants to force agents to get a judicial warrant before they enter private property—even if it means letting dangerous criminals slip away. They seem perfectly happy to create bureaucratic nightmares, all to protect illegal aliens and satisfy their radical base. Forget about public safety or the rule of law. For liberal politicians, it’s all about scoring political points and pandering to globalist interests at America’s expense.
Republicans are trying to negotiate, but it’s like talking to a brick wall. Democrats just keep pushing their extreme demands, dragging out this shutdown, and proving that they can’t be trusted when it comes to securing our homeland. Every day the border stays open and agents’ jobs get harder, regular Americans lose faith in Washington’s ability to protect their families.
Liberals say they’re fighting for justice. But who is fighting for the American citizen, the taxpayer, and the communities overwhelmed by illegal immigration? The answer is clear: It sure isn’t the Democrat Party. Maybe one day, the left will realize our nation’s security matters more than virtue-signaling to their activist buddies. But don’t hold your breath.
