Baltimore, Annapolis, and Anne Arundel County are throwing everything they have at big energy companies—BP, ExxonMobil, and Chevron—shamelessly using local nuisance laws as their weapon of choice. This isn’t justice. It’s political theater by desperate activists who want to cash in and shut down the energy backbone of America.
These liberal leaders think they can twist state and local laws into climate attack dogs. They’re not interested in facts. They’re interested in villainizing companies that fuel our homes, keep our families warm, and make our economy run. The globalist climate agenda loves these lawsuits—especially when they dodge real debate to hammer American businesses with expensive legal battles.
Maryland’s highest court just gave the green light for this circus to head to the Supreme Court. The justices will have to decide if greedy city governments can use nuisance claims as Trojan horses for radical climate policies. If these lawsuits succeed, other blue cities will come for every oil and gas company in the country, driving up prices and killing jobs.
It’s all about power, not the planet. Liberals claim they care about the environment but their policies punish working Americans. They’ll use any excuse to seize more control over our energy, ignore free markets, and hand the reins to unelected bureaucrats and foreign interests. They talk a big game on fairness, but go after our energy independence at every turn.
Americans see through this hypocrisy. If Democrats really cared about the environment, they would support innovation, not lawsuits. Instead, they cheer for courtroom stunts that threaten the economy and endanger our future. When will these leftists stop attacking the companies that actually make our way of life possible?
