Vladimir Putin has bragged for years that he’ll crush Ukraine. He acts like his win is already sealed. Yet, the reality doesn’t fit his fantasy. Despite Russia’s big talk, Ukraine has clawed back more ground than Moscow in both February and March. So, why are so many left-wing elites in Washington still so eager to talk about “inevitable” Russian victory and “fatigue” with helping Ukraine stand up?
Every square mile Ukraine snatches from Russian hands sends an unmistakable message to tyrants everywhere: American strength and freedom-loving people fight back. Liberals don’t seem to get it. They’re too busy wringing their hands, worried about “global instability,” or maybe just obsessing over what their European buddies think. The truth is simple—Ukrainians are lighting the way, showing what happens when good guys don’t roll over. And it works in our favor, whether the woke crowd likes it or not.
While D.C. Democrats play games, Ukraine’s fighters do the hard work. They push back against the dictator who wants to wreck the world order for his own gain. If the so-called experts cared less about cocktail parties and more about world safety, they’d see that Ukraine’s success is our success. If Putin loses, America’s allies everywhere feel stronger. If he wins, every enemy of freedom takes notes.
It’s almost funny—liberals call themselves “defenders of democracy” but seem annoyed by actual people fighting for it. They complain about spending on Ukraine without admitting that keeping Putin’s thugs bottled up in Europe means less trouble for us here at home. Every day Russia stumbles, America grows safer, and tyrants wonder who’s next to face a backlash.
So, the real question: Why are we listening to defeatists and globalists who want us to roll over for dictators? Maybe it’s time to stop pretending weakness keeps us safe. Ukraine’s grit makes America stronger. That’s the truth, even if it makes leftists squirm.
