A local GOP candidate for the Mecklenburg County Commission’s District 1 seat has dropped out after his home was reportedly targeted in a brutal drive-by shooting. Yes, an American citizen who wanted to serve his community was chased out of the race by thugs firing bullets—right in his own neighborhood.

This isn’t some Chicago crime statistic. This happened in Huntersville, North Carolina, a town just a stone’s throw from Charlotte itself. While Democrats pretend to care about election integrity and fair play, their policies have turned our once safe communities into dangerous battlegrounds.
