Federal officers in Portland can breathe a little easier now. The appeals court has finally slammed the brakes on those outrageous restrictions that were handcuffing federal law enforcement at the ICE building downtown. For months, the radical left has tried to run the show and dictate exactly how federal officers are allowed to keep order during their so-called “protests”—most of which descend into chaos, vandalism, and outright violence.
Let’s be real: These are not just peaceful gatherings. These are angry mobs, emboldened by weak local politicians and activist judges more concerned with appeasing globalist demands than protecting American workers and property. Meanwhile, federal law enforcement has been left holding the bag—forced to stand by while agitators break windows, light fires, and spread mayhem. And when these brave men and women try to use crowd-control methods like tear gas? The left loses its mind, calling it an “assault on civil rights.”
The fact is, tear gas and similar tactics have been used for decades precisely because they work. They disperse dangerous crowds, protect officers, and keep America’s cities from spiraling into the kind of chaos we see in leftist-run countries. But the anti-American left would rather see our cities burn than let federal officers do their jobs. They care more about criminals’ “feelings” than the safety of law-abiding citizens—just another example of twisted liberal “logic.”
This latest decision proves the courts don’t have to march to the radical drumbeat every time. For once, common sense prevailed—giving federal officers the green light to restore order and protect federal property. Liberals wring their hands and cry about law enforcement, but when they need protection, it’s the same officers they want gone who show up to help. The hypocrisy is staggering.
