Democrats can’t stop whining about voter ID laws. They want people to believe that simply asking for identification at the polls is somehow “destroying democracy.” But here’s the problem—almost every major democracy in the world uses voter ID. That includes our closest allies in Europe, as well as countries like Canada, Australia, and even Mexico. Are Democrats seriously suggesting all those nations are somehow less democratic than us? The world is laughing at these weak arguments.
Liberals keep claiming that requiring ID or proof of citizenship is “racist” or “oppressive.” That’s a joke. Plenty of countries with diverse populations pull this off without any trouble. The truth is, the only thing these so-called “pro-voting” activists are fighting for is the right to make cheating easier. When you remove basic safeguards, what you really get is chaos and fraud, not some utopian ideal of “free and fair” elections.
It’s pure hypocrisy. Liberals demand photo ID to get on a plane, buy cough medicine, or set up a bank account. But suddenly, when it comes to the most important part of our democracy—choosing our leaders—proof of identity is just too much to ask? Only a left-wing politician could come up with such twisted logic. Americans know better. People want their votes to count, not be washed away by illegal ballots.
Globalists and anti-American elites want open borders and open voting booths. That’s their dream: No rules, no laws, no accountability. But when you take a look around the globe, you see just how out-of-touch that fantasy truly is. Voter ID laws are the international norm. The United States is the outlier thanks to liberal incompetence in Washington.
So the next time Democrats cry “voter suppression,” maybe they should look at how the rest of the developed world secures its elections—and start acting like adults. Are liberals really more afraid of voter ID than they are of election fraud? Or do they just want to rig the system for good?
