The country our woke elites told us to look up to is devolving into a soft tyranny, all wrapped up in a smiling, tolerant face. The left always dresses up dangerous ideas in sweet words, but underneath, it’s the same old story of silencing dissent and crushing people for their beliefs.
Big government types in Canada love to pretend they’re champions of diversity and inclusion. But what do they actually do? They target people for holding the “wrong” opinions. They punish citizens simply for having faith, for thinking differently, or for refusing to bow to globalist ideologies. Liberals shout about protecting minorities—until those minorities are Christians, Jews, or anyone who dares challenge their groupthink.
And let’s not overlook the hypocrisy. These same liberal politicians who denounce hate and discrimination are now orchestrating their own slow-motion purge. They rely on bureaucracy instead of batons, but the result is the same—good people are forced out of public life, all in the name of “tolerance.” Meanwhile, globalist interests cheer them on, eager to stamp out any hint of national identity or traditional values.
This is what happens when you let left-wing ideology run wild. The so-called “enlightened” class bullies anyone who stands in their way. They rewrite history and twist language so that standing up for your beliefs suddenly makes you an “enemy.” It’s old-fashioned oppression, dressed up in a fancy Canadian tuxedo and forced on people polite enough not to fight back.
If Americans are still under the illusion that liberal elites are leading us to a better world, just look north. When “tolerance” means crushing anyone who won’t conform, maybe it’s time to ask—who’s the real threat to freedom here?
