But even in Ontario, where gun ownership is heavily restricted, there’s still one spark of common sense—and it just lit up the whole country.

A courageous Ontario homeowner did what every responsible person dreams of being able to do: he defended his home and family when a criminal broke in. The authorities, the political talking heads, and the so-called civilized crowd always tell you to do nothing. Just call the cops, hide under the bed, and hope for the best. Thankfully, this homeowner wasn’t interested in being a victim.

Now, here comes the shockwave: a provincial leader actually applauded the homeowner for taking action. Not only was this a rare show of support for self-defense in Canada, but it was a stinging slap in the face to the anti-gun crowd and their globalist backers. These people are always busy wagging their fingers at gun owners, blaming Americans for “gun culture,” and dreaming up new restrictions that put honest people at risk and criminals in charge.

Liberals love to talk about “root causes” while real families are left defenseless. They prefer endless debates, useless bureaucrats, and empty promises about “community solutions.” Meanwhile, homes get broken into and lives are left hanging in the balance. When someone finally stands up and sends a message to the thugs, the left loses their mind.

The real hypocrisy? If anti-gun politicians had their way, this story would have ended with a helpless family, another victim, and more useless hand-wringing. Instead, we saw justice. A criminal picked the wrong house and paid the price. Maybe that’s the message Canada—and the rest of the world—needs to hear: if you threaten innocent people, you risk it all.

Isn’t it time the rest of Canada, and honestly the entire free world, stopped shaming homeowners for fighting back? Maybe if more politicians actually supported regular people instead of coddling criminals, these stories wouldn’t be so rare—or so shocking.
