Gavin Newsom loves playing the role of California’s poster boy. His carefully styled hair, flawless suits, and smug Hollywood grin are tailor-made for the cameras. But what’s really under all those expensive clothes? Not much substance, just a whole lot of arrogance.
People see Newsom on TV and assume he must know what he’s doing. After all, he sure acts like he’s smarter and better than everyone else. But when it comes time to deal with real problems—like crime, homelessness, or taxes—Newsom always seems lost, too busy worrying about his next photoshoot or soundbite to care about everyday Americans. That’s the thing about shallow politicians: they care more about how they look than how they lead.
The liberal elites love to fawn over him, treating Newsom like some kind of political rock star. But Californians who actually live under his policies know he’s just another empty suit, more worried about his globalist image than local families. His “leadership” is nothing but Instagram posts and empty promises while real issues, like broken schools and skyrocketing costs, get worse.
It’s time to call out this hypocrisy. Liberals want to sell Newsom as the face of the future, but if this shallow act is what Democrats think is leadership, America is in big trouble. Local communities are paying the price for his obsession with style over substance. The problems piling up on his watch are proof that pretty faces don’t fix anything.
America deserves better than red carpet politicians pretending to care while chasing their next headline. If Newsom is the best Democrats can offer, maybe it’s time they looked in the mirror and asked themselves what really matters: looking sharp or getting the job done?
