Canada brags about its so-called “superior” healthcare system. The Left loves to shove it in America’s face as proof that government-run medicine works. But what’s really happening up north is horrifying—and nobody wants to talk about it. Instead of caring for the sick, Canada is rolling out a fast lane for killing them.
It started in 2016, when Canada let doctors help people die—if they were about to die anyway. Now, Canada isn’t just offering this to terminally ill patients. It’s expanding to basically anyone who claims a mental illness. Starting in March 2027, any adult who says they have a mental health problem could line up for a state-sponsored death. You don’t have to be dying. You don’t even have to be physically sick.
This is what socialized medicine looks like when the money runs out and the priorities get twisted. It’s much cheaper for Big Government to help people die than to actually help them live. In 2024 alone, more than 22,000 Canadians asked to end their lives with the help of doctors. Over 16,000 went through with it. These are not just numbers—these are real people, abandoned by a system that claims to care.
The process is chilling. The state says you must be at least 18, supposedly “mentally competent,” and ask to die. But where’s the real help for those struggling in despair? Instead of offering hope, resources, or true medical care, the government points to the exit door. This is not compassion. This is a tragedy fueled by a cold, bureaucratic logic.
Don’t think this can’t happen in America. Assisted suicide isn’t just a Canadian export. It’s already seeping into the U.S., legal in 13 states and Washington, D.C. right now. This is the future liberals and global bureaucrats want—where life can be ended with the stroke of a pen, all in the name of “choice” and “efficiency.” Let’s call it what it is: giving up on people who need our help the most. Is this really progress, or the last stop on the Left’s road to nowhere?
