Once again, common sense wins in North Carolina. A judge has finally stood up for what most Americans already know — you need an ID for just about everything in this country, so why should voting be any different? Still, the left has been fighting tooth and nail to kill the state’s photo voter ID laws, screeching about imagined discrimination and injustice. Surprise, surprise, their case just fell flat. The judge didn’t buy the nonsense. The supposed evidence of “voter suppression” crumbled like it always does under real scrutiny.
Liberals love to say that requiring an ID is somehow “racist,” as if minorities can’t figure out how to get a driver’s license or a state ID. What an insult! This kind of thinking isn’t just lazy — it’s dangerous. It sends the message that rules only matter when they help Democrats keep power. The left will stop at nothing to undermine the most basic safeguards if it helps them juice turnout among people who can’t even prove they live in the district.
The reality is obvious: Voter ID stops fraud. Period. It protects real American voters — something the globalist elites and their media lapdogs can’t stand. They want our elections wide open, full of loopholes for bad actors and cheaters. Why? Because chaotic elections mean they can sneak their agenda through the back door, away from the will of the people.
These same liberals never complain when you need to show ID at the airport or buy cold medicine. But when it’s time to pick our leaders, suddenly it’s the end of the world. They cry “discrimination,” but what they really fear is losing the grip they have on the system. If every voter is who they say they are, their attempts to manipulate the process fall apart fast.
It’s about time the courts got this one right. North Carolina’s photo ID law stands, and so does the sacred right of Americans to trust their elections. The left’s endless excuses just got exposed for what they are — cheap tricks to keep the door open for fraud. Maybe next time, Democrats should try winning with real ideas instead of dirty games. After all, if you can’t even prove you are who you say you are, should you really be helping pick the leaders of this great nation?
