Yet now the left is celebrating because Orbán may finally lose his job. They think they have it in the bag this time. The establishment and the media already act like it’s a done deal—Hungary’s conservative lion is on the way out.
Let’s be honest about why liberals hate Orbán. He doesn’t bow to Brussels. He doesn’t let unelected EU bureaucrats run his nation. While so many European leaders cave to every woke policy from on high, Orbán actually defends the will of his people. He cares more about Hungary than about getting applause from universities and think tanks in Paris or Berlin. That’s why President Trump liked him. Unlike the weak leaders in the West, Orbán knows what it means to love your country and put your own citizens first.
For years, the European Union tried to bully Hungary into submission. They squealed every time Orbán blocked their open-border, pro-migration schemes. He refused to let radical ideas into Hungarian schools. He dared to pass laws that, shockingly, protected families and children instead of bowing to the latest progressive craze. While Biden’s White House tries to make nice with the same European leaders responsible for mass migration and rising crime, Orbán never sold out.
Now, with the election on the line, all the usual suspects are circling. The EU elites want Orbán gone. The global press wants him gone. Liberal billionaires are pouring in money. They know they can’t control him—he’s not for sale. They want another “yes-man” who’ll do the bidding of Brussels and Washington, not of the Hungarian people.
If Orbán falls, it’s not a victory for democracy like the left claims. It’s a win for globalist bullies trampling on the rights of sovereign nations. Liberals love to talk about “standing up to authoritarianism,” but the only thing they can’t stand is a leader who actually stands up—to them. Are conservatives around the world going to sit back and watch another fighter go down, or will we finally realize that the real threat to freedom is the one cheering every time a patriot loses?
