Gavin Newsom and his wife, Jennifer, have never even tried to hide their contempt for red states. The latest video making the rounds is just more proof these liberal elites still believe every flyover state is crawling with hate and backward ideas. While parading their kids around the South and the Midwest, Jennifer Newsom claims it’s all a “teaching moment” to show her children that bigotry is somehow a red state problem—a problem that California supposedly cured ages ago.
But here’s the real truth: it’s blue states like California that keep falling behind, while the so-called “backwards” states outpace them, even in areas liberals love to lecture about. Just look at Mississippi—a state the Newsoms probably consider to be ground zero for their favorite -isms. Yet Mississippi’s black students now lead California in basic literacy, by a mile. Over half of black students in that “hopeless” red state can read at grade level, while California, with all its woke policies, leaves black students struggling. Maybe Jennifer should’ve spent more time reading the data instead of her own press clippings.
You can’t call yourself a “truth seeker” if you ignore obvious facts. The Newsoms love to treat conservatives, Christians, and rural Americans as if we’re villains in their Hollywood movie, always in need of rescue—or scolding—from self-righteous progressives in Sacramento. They never miss a chance to act like their own state is a model of shining virtue, while the rest of us are too stupid or hateful to do real good.
But here’s what they’ll never admit: it’s the arrogant Left that keeps dividing America, pushing cheap stereotypes about anyone who doesn’t live or vote like them. The true intolerance comes from people like Jennifer Newsom, who see half of this country as a moral lesson for their kids instead of fellow Americans. Liberals throw around accusations of racism and misogyny, but it’s their own policies and prejudices that tear apart families and communities. They can’t stand to admit that regular Americans in red states often do a better job at raising kids, helping neighbors, and giving everyone a fair shot.
And let’s not forget—everyone knows Jennifer has her eyes on the White House, even if Gavin’s name is the one on the ballot. Imagine the wife of California’s elitist governor calling the shots in Washington, while thinking the rest of America needs to be educated by her own warped sense of “truth.” Is this really the future Americans want—a White House run by people who hate half the nation?
Maybe it’s time for the Newsoms to take their own advice and open their minds. Or at the very least, stop pretending California is perfect while the evidence proves otherwise.
