Palm Sunday is supposed to be a day of faith and peace. Yet in north central Nigeria, it turned into a nightmare. Dozens of innocent people were murdered when armed thugs stormed their community on motorcycles, killing at least twenty, possibly thirty, in a single, horrific assault. While these families prayed, brutal killers rode in and turned their world into chaos.
Let’s talk about the so-called “global community” and their endless speeches on human rights. Every time an attack like this happens, you can count on limp-wristed international bureaucrats to wring their hands and issue another worthless statement. Where are the so-called watchdogs and the fancy organizations now? Africa’s Christians keep getting slaughtered, and the West just pretends not to notice. Where are the protests, the hashtags, the candlelight vigils? Apparently, it’s only a tragedy when it fits the liberal narrative.
The truth is, brutal violence like this thrives when good people are stripped of their means to fight back. Want to see what gun control looks like in action? Nigeria is a prime example. The government makes it almost impossible for citizens to be armed, yet somehow the killers always seem to get their hands on weapons. Armed criminals know law-abiding people are sitting ducks, thanks to clueless bureaucrats and their empty virtue-signaling.
Meanwhile, our own leaders love lecturing Americans about the dangers of gun ownership. Maybe they should look at Nigeria before they run their mouths about “common sense gun reform.” As if taking guns from responsible citizens will magically make the bad guys turn in theirs. Liberal politicians and their media allies don’t care about saving lives. They’re too busy pushing their utopian fantasies from behind walls and armed guards.
This is what happens when the world listens to elitists who never have to protect their own families. Innocent people die, religious communities are terrorized, and politicians keep counting votes. Why should anyone trust globalists or soft-on-crime leftists to keep us safe—when their policies fail everywhere, every time? Maybe it’s time for Americans to double down on our right to defend ourselves, before we start seeing more Palm Sunday massacres closer to home.
