It’s about time. After weeks of chaos at airports across America, federal TSA agents have finally gotten the pay they’re owed—and not a moment too soon. Let’s be clear: If it weren’t for President Trump stepping up and demanding action, these front-line workers would still be waiting as travelers suffered through endless security lines and gridlocked terminals. The so-called “leaders” in Congress, who love to harp on their own compassion, were nowhere to be found when it came to keeping our travel system moving and our borders safe.
While Trump was getting TSA employees their checks—not just one, but two—Democrats were busy patting themselves on the back. Meanwhile, the brave men and women protecting our airports were working without pay for over forty days. More than 500 of them quit while thousands stopped showing up, and who can blame them? It was a disaster created by a Congress addicted to vacation and empty promises. Instead of getting back to work, lawmakers kicked back and took two weeks off, leaving hardworking Americans in the lurch.
Of course, once President Trump took charge, things changed fast. Not only did agents get their back pay, but ICE was deployed to help with the mess. That meant shorter lines and less chaos at places like Atlanta and Austin, where travelers had started losing their patience—and for good reason. It’s exactly this kind of decisive action that the country needs, not more hand-wringing from the out-of-touch elites on Capitol Hill.
Make no mistake, this situation was political theater from the start, sponsored by the open-borders left and their globalist pals. They were happy to let American families suffer while they hid behind press conferences and virtue-signaling. It’s always the law-abiding citizens who pay the price for Democrat dysfunction, never the politicians themselves or their donors. And who do they blame? The very people putting America first.
What kind of country have we become when liberals would rather grind our transportation system to a halt than give President Trump a win? Americans expect government to work, not play childish games with their lives. When Trump rolls up his sleeves and delivers results, the left throws tantrums and goes on vacation. Maybe it’s time our representatives learn there’s a real cost for putting political posturing ahead of patriotism. Or are they just too busy planning their next break?
