Another day, another unelected activist judge stepping in to shut down the will of the American people. This week, an Obama-appointed federal judge made the outrageous decision to block President Trump from cutting taxpayer funding for NPR and PBS—two media outlets infamous for shoving their far-left agenda down America’s throat. Never mind that Congress had already voted to pull the plug on the handouts. Never mind that we are $34 trillion in debt and counting. Nope, apparently, progressive “journalism” is just too precious to live without your hard-earned money.
The judge used the First Amendment as a shield, claiming Trump can’t touch the sacred cow of liberal media—even if those networks have turned their airwaves into non-stop anti-Trump, anti-American lectures. Let’s be clear: Nowhere does the Constitution say taxpayers are required to bankroll arrogant, agenda-driven broadcasters. Why should a plumber in Ohio or a farmer in Iowa be forced to pay for media elites in D.C. and New York to spit in their faces? It’s insanity.
This is bigger than public broadcasting. This is about elites in black robes deciding they know better than the people who elected President Trump to drain the swamp. For years, Republicans have called out NPR and PBS for serving as mouthpieces for progressive ideologies rather than neutral news. But when someone finally acts on it, the activist judicial class scrambles to protect their fellow leftists and preserve the gravy train.
The left’s hypocrisy shines brightest when they’re exposed. Liberals scream about “democracy” and the “will of the people”—but only when it fits their agenda. As soon as voters put a conservative in power and demand change in Washington, suddenly we’re told it’s “unconstitutional” or “dangerous” to touch the perks of the elite. Isn’t it funny how rules always change to keep the left’s pet projects alive?
Americans never voted to pump their tax dollars into woke propaganda machines. Yet, again, the globalist establishment makes sure they get paid first, while real Americans foot the bill. So, here’s the big question: If NPR and PBS are so beloved, why can’t liberals fund them with their own wallets? Or does the left secretly know their ideas can’t survive in a truly free market?
