Something rotten is going on in Fairfax County, Virginia. Yet again, the community is forced to witness the tragic price of our failed border policies. This marks the third time in recent weeks that a murder has been allegedly committed by an illegal alien in this supposedly safe suburb. Now it’s a father, accused of killing his own baby. Just let that sink in.
The left loves to pretend that open borders are compassionate. They call those who want strong immigration enforcement “racist” or “heartless.” But who’s heartless now? Babies are dying. Families are being ripped apart by people who shouldn’t be here in the first place. Over and over, it’s law-abiding Americans—and their children—who pay the ultimate price for Democrat virtue-signaling.
Fairfax officials act shocked every time another tragedy strikes, but it’s always the same story. Local leaders have made their county a welcoming spot for illegal immigrants—against the loud objections of regular citizens. This is the predictable and disgusting result. Liberal politicians put out the welcome mat and then act surprised when criminals abuse their hospitality. Are they blind or just willfully ignorant?
Let’s be real: globalist elites and woke activists don’t have to live with the consequences of their reckless policies. Ordinary people do. Instead of protecting families, Democrat leaders keep focusing on how not to “offend” anyone who crosses the border illegally. They care more about political points than about American lives. Meanwhile, the body count keeps climbing.
Is Fairfax County becoming the model for the rest of the country? If liberal politicians have their way, yes. How many more Americans have to suffer, or even die, before the left admits that their open border fantasy is a nightmare for real people? Maybe it’s time to stop listening to the professional virtue-signalers and start enforcing the laws that keep us safe.
