Why New Englanders Pay Sky High Electric Bills While Red States Enjoy Cheap Power

New Englanders are paying through the nose for something as basic as flipping on the lights. Their electricity prices are sky-high, some of the worst in the country. Why? Decades of liberal policies, climate “initiatives,” and appeasing special interests have left families struggling just to keep their homes warm or cool. Meanwhile, states like North Dakota and Louisiana—places where common sense and American energy rule—enjoy cheap, reliable power. Shocking, right?

This is what you get when progressives run the show. They block pipelines, sue oil companies, and worship at the altar of “green” energy, yet their dogma does nothing but drive up the costs for ordinary people. While elites in Boston sip cappuccinos and lecture us on carbon footprints, regular folks are left with outrageous bills and fewer choices. All of it, wrapped up in empty promises about saving the planet. Who’s really paying the price? Middle class homeowners, working families, and struggling seniors.

Don’t expect these New England liberals to admit they messed up. For them, it’s always someone else’s fault—never their suffocating regulations, never their refusal to allow homegrown American energy to flourish. Across the country, red states embrace pipelines, drilling, and affordable fuel. Result? Their citizens enjoy lower prices at the plug and the pump. They know that energy abundance is American strength, not something to be ashamed of.

Globalists and woke bureaucrats keep pushing green schemes that line the pockets of their pals in Europe and China. Meanwhile, American families freeze in the winter and sweat in the summer, all so the left can signal their virtue with windmills and solar panels that barely keep the lights on. When will folks wake up and see that “green” isn’t so green when your bank account’s in the red?

Enough is enough. People in New England—and everywhere else—deserve real energy policy, not progressive fantasies. Maybe it’s time for politicians there to visit North Dakota and Louisiana and take some notes. If the left really cared about working Americans, they’d stop playing games with our energy and start embracing American power. Or do they just care about power for themselves?
