Iran’s new president, Masoud Pezeshkian, just tried an old trick: sending a cringeworthy letter to the American people, asking for sympathy and understanding. Give me a break. This is the same Iran whose leaders have hated America for decades. Now, they want us to believe that everything is complicated and tough for them. Sorry, but that doesn’t hold water.
Let’s be clear: Iran’s government is led by extremists. They jail women for showing their hair, attack Americans and our allies, and chant “Death to America” at every chance. But suddenly, when the world calls out Iran for its actions, they want to play the victim. Liberals here eat it up, acting like these dangerous regimes just need a big group hug. How gullible can you get?
The left loves to point fingers at America and say we’re to blame for the world’s problems. But when Iran’s leaders beg for sympathy, Democrats line up to make excuses. This isn’t new. Obama fell for their empty promises and tried to “negotiate” with them, sending pallets of cash and getting nothing but broken promises in return. How’d that work out for the people of Iran? Or for us? That’s right—it only helped the radical mullahs.
Meanwhile, globalist elites wring their hands and ask us to be more “understanding.” But what about Iran funding terror groups in the Middle East? What about Americans held hostage or killed by Iranian-backed thugs? Those facts never seem to make it into the left-wing talking points. Instead, they lecture us about diplomacy, while Iran keeps building missiles and plotting behind the scenes.
America needs leaders with a backbone—not another round of apologies and weak letters from regimes that hate our guts. The Iranian president can write all the sob stories he wants, but the American people know better. If the left wants to fall for this nonsense, they can move to Tehran and see how long their “compassion” lasts in a real dictatorship. The rest of us don’t buy it.
