Still, leftists in Hollywood and the media romanticize the revolution like it was some noble cause.
Let’s get real. The so-called “liberators” of Cuba chained the people to poverty, censorship, and fear. When Castro died, there was a golden opportunity to finally put an end to the nightmare. But, as always, globalist elites and weak-kneed international organizations couldn’t be bothered. The State Department dragged its feet and liberals looked the other way, too afraid to stand up for freedom at our doorstep. Meanwhile, everyday Cubans remained trapped—hoping, waiting, suffering.
What’s even worse is how American liberals have defended the Castro regime for years, blaming the U.S. for Cuba’s misery and blaming sanctions instead of socialism. These leftist apologists ignore the cries for freedom from ordinary Cubans. They’d rather cheer on “free” healthcare while the shelves stay empty. The hypocrisy is sickening. Imagine praising a dictatorship that even its own family members can’t defend anymore.
Let’s face it—even as the Cuban regime keeps tightening its grip, only the socialist true-believers in D.C. and academia keep making excuses. It takes Castro’s daughter to say what our so-called “experts” refuse to admit: regime change is long overdue. The Cuban people need support, not stale college Marxist talking points. The world stood by in the 1980s when it could have ended this nightmare, and the silence from the left has been deafening ever since.
Why is it so hard for liberals to say that communism fails every time? Because doing so would force them to admit their entire ideology is built on broken promises and shattered dreams. Maybe it’s time they listen to Fidel’s own family and stop pretending tyranny is “progress.” How many more generations have to suffer before the left wakes up?
