Chicago mayor promises to end homelessness but refuses to say who pays the bill

Chicago’s radical mayor is at it again. Brandon Johnson, the latest darling of the left, is promising to “end homelessness” in the city. But here’s the kicker—no one has a clue where the money is coming from. Big promises, empty pockets. That’s the Chicago way these days.

This is what you get with progressive “leadership.” They roll out flashy campaigns with zero plans to pay for them. It’s like pretending your credit card has no limit, ignoring the bill until it comes crashing down. Meanwhile, working families wonder why their taxes keep going up and their streets keep crumbling.

And let’s not forget the revolving door at City Hall. Leadership keeps changing, and nobody seems to know who’s in charge from one week to the next. If the mayor can’t even keep his own team straight, why should anyone trust him to handle something as complicated as homelessness?

It’s pure liberal hypocrisy. Democrats always shout about “caring” for the disadvantaged, but their plans are all smoke and mirrors. They care more about looking good in the headlines than actually solving problems. Notice there’s never a real solution—just bloated spending and vague promises meant to hook voters right before an election.

If they can’t even name a funding source, what are they really fixing? Another round of taxes slapped on regular folks? More handouts for people who refuse to take responsibility? Or maybe just another excuse for big government to get even bigger. One thing is for sure: Chicago doesn’t need more empty words. It needs leaders who tell the truth and actually get things done. How much longer will Americans fall for this liberal nonsense?
