Florida’s Republicans have done it again. Governor Ron DeSantis has delivered what the people want: real voter protection. This week, Florida’s new SAVE America Act became law. The message is simple: only American citizens should vote in American elections. Most citizens would think this is common sense, but apparently, the left didn’t get the memo.
Predictably, the usual liberal groups immediately filed lawsuits. They cry and moan that it’s “unfair” for the state to actually make sure voters are citizens. Groups that have never found an election law they liked suddenly claim this law will hurt minorities, married women, students—everyone except, of course, the people cheating the system. These are the same professional activists who scream “voter suppression!” every time someone mentions voter ID. Their problem isn’t with oppression—it’s with any law that makes it harder for their base to bend the rules.
Let’s be clear. Florida’s new law is not difficult for honest citizens. Nearly everyone with a driver’s license has the right paperwork—they already met federal requirements. The only people left out are those who can’t prove they belong here, or who want to exploit our elections from the shadows. Liberals pretend to defend the “voiceless,” but in reality, they’re defending their own interests. Democrats know citizen verification threatens their power. That’s why they want open borders and open ballots.
Even after Florida amended its constitution to remind the world that only citizens can vote, we still see examples of noncitizen ballots slipping through the cracks. What’s the left’s solution? Ignore the problem! They’d rather risk illegals and noncitizens swinging close races than admit their “no ID needed” fantasies are ripe for abuse. When DeSantis created an election crimes unit years ago, liberals howled again—even though we all know election cheating happens when no one’s watching.
The radical left calls the SAVE America Act “xenophobic” and “disinformation,” spewing their usual nonsense to cover for their actual goal: diluting the American vote. They care more about illegal votes than protecting the voice of law-abiding citizens. Why are they so afraid of a little proof? Maybe because without it, their gravy train of questionable ballots rolls on.
Florida is leading the fight to keep elections for Americans—period. If the left wants open borders, let them run for office in globalist Europe. Here in the USA, our vote is sacred. Maybe the real question is: Why are Democrats so eager to let noncitizens decide who runs this country?
