Democrat Senator Sheldon Whitehouse never misses a chance to show exactly what’s wrong with coastal elitists on Capitol Hill. Instead of focusing on real problems in his own backyard, Whitehouse is obsessed with attacking Kash Patel—an FBI Director who actually gets things done. And let’s be real: we’re talking about a guy whose idea of “community service” is hanging out at a private, whites-only beach club. The staggering hypocrisy couldn’t be clearer.
While Whitehouse spouts off on X (formerly Twitter) about the FBI and former agents who investigated President Trump, Rhode Islanders continue to suffer under his lazy leadership. Instead of shaming the actual criminals causing chaos on the streets, Whitehouse would rather throw petty jabs at the head of an agency working to keep Americans safe. The FBI under Patel’s lead isn’t just sitting around writing reports—they’re cracking down on violent crime, and the numbers prove it.
Let’s count the wins: a spike in arrests for violent offenses, massive fentanyl seizures, and operations taking deadly drugs off the street. Just last year, more than two kilograms of fentanyl—enough to kill a tenth of Rhode Island’s population—was seized by Patel’s team. Meanwhile, the state’s own senator seems more concerned about headlines than the well-being of his constituents.
And how about the FBI’s commitment to finding lost children and dismantling gangs? Hundreds of arrests, dozens of missing kids found, gang members and drug peddlers put behind bars. Seven dangerous criminals taken down in a single drug bust. Every one of those actions makes a real difference for American families. But don’t expect any applause from Whitehouse—he’s too busy playing partisan games and chasing gotchas on social media.
If only Senator Whitehouse cared about ending the opioid crisis and pushing back against violent crime as much as he cares about grandstanding on X. Rhode Islanders deserve a leader actually committed to law and order, not one hooked on virtue-signaling for the DC cocktail circuit. Why does he always side with the political elite instead of regular Americans wanting safe streets and strong borders? Maybe it’s because he likes the view from that fancy beach club more than the view from Main Street.
