The left never misses a chance to tell Americans how to live—and now, the Biden Department of Justice is making sure small town New Jersey gets the memo. The feds are dragging a local township to court for daring to ban natural gas, propane, and fuel oil hook-ups in new large apartment buildings. That’s right, if you want to use affordable, reliable energy in your home, big government wants to shut you down.
What happened to letting Americans make their own choices? These so-called “green” policies are always about control. Liberals love to lecture families about “climate change” while cozying up to globalist special interests who never worry about their own carbon footprints. Town officials thought banning essential energy in new apartments would score them points in environmental circles. But what they really did was punish working people and drive up costs for anyone who doesn’t want to freeze in the winter or cook their dinner on a camping stove.
Natural gas is one of the cleanest, most dependable forms of energy on the planet. It’s a backbone of American living—heat, hot water, stoves, you name it. But leave it to far-left bureaucrats to try and rip that away, all in the name of “progress.” The left wants Americans to go all-electric, but last time anyone checked, the power grid can’t even handle a summer heatwave. It’s insanity to think forcing everyone into electric-only homes won’t blow up our fragile infrastructure.
Let’s be honest: this isn’t about saving the planet. It’s about enforcing radical ideology, no matter who gets hurt. Middle-class families trying to make rent? Tough luck. Older Americans on a tight budget? Too bad. Liberals in government are happy to sacrifice everyday Americans on the altar of their climate cult, as long as it means more federal power and less individual freedom.
The DOJ’s lawsuit reeks of hypocrisy—fighting so hard to block local choice under the false flag of “environmental justice.” Isn’t this the same party always squawking about states’ rights when it fits their agenda? Now they’re punishing a town for making a decision that fits its own needs. When will blue-state politicians grow a backbone and stand up for their own citizens, instead of bowing down to Washington busybodies?
Maybe it’s time Americans ask the real question: when did common sense energy policy become a crime—and who benefits from pushing us into a cold, dark future?
