A 12-year-old girl is dead in Los Angeles, allegedly struck by another minor with a metal water bottle. A child, yes, a child—for all we know, maybe even younger—has been arrested for murder. This is what Los Angeles has come to under progressive rule. Children aren’t playing together in peace; they’re turning into criminals before our eyes. But instead of solutions, the left doles out excuses and silent shrugs.
The police aren’t saying who did it. Not the age. Not the gender. That’s par for the course in a city where politicians care more about protecting the “privacy” of criminals than about defending victims. Meanwhile, innocent kids like Khimberly Zavaleta Chuquipa lose their lives. Ask yourself: how did things get this bad? It isn’t hard to see—the left’s soft-on-crime policies have made schools and neighborhoods into war zones.
Progressives love to talk about “restorative justice” and “equity” in LA. But what about actual justice for victims? They pass rules to ban police officers from patrolling schools, claiming it’s oppressive. Then violence explodes, and parents are left to bury their children. Maybe if our leaders actually acted tough on criminals, instead of coddling them, these tragedies wouldn’t happen.
Of course, the media elites will dance around this story. They’ll avoid words like “murder,” afraid to admit the truth: their progressive utopia has failed. They claim to support families and safe communities, but the bodies keep piling up. Children are killing children, and the left keeps pushing broken programs that put killers back on the street before the ink is dry on their paperwork.
It’s time to stop pretending this is someone else’s fault. Open borders, weak laws, and a culture that celebrates criminals over cops—this is the legacy of the liberal establishment. If we don’t demand accountability, how much worse will it get? How many more innocent kids have to die before Los Angeles wakes up to reality?
