A local library director was shown the door after she refused to remove almost 200 so-called “LGBTQ-plus” and teen books from the children’s area of her branches. This is not just about books. It’s about whether communities have the right to protect their kids from radical ideology, or if unelected bureaucrats win every time.
Let’s be clear—children’s libraries are meant to be a safe place for families, not a battleground where woke activists push adult topics onto little kids. Yet, too often, leftist elites in charge of public services prioritize social experimentation over actual childhood education. When parents question it, they’re called bigots or told to just accept it. That’s the left’s go-to move: silence dissent, shame regular people, and throw American values out the window.
The former director might claim she’s fighting for diversity or inclusion. But what she’s really doing? Putting a political agenda above the community she’s supposed to serve. Tennessee parents want their children to read good stories, to learn, and to experience childhood. They don’t want their local library turning into a grooming ground for leftist indoctrination. When regular folks stand up, the radical activists just can’t handle it.

The people of Tennessee took a stand and said “No” to another bureaucrat forcing her personal agenda onto everybody else’s children. Isn’t it about time more communities join them?
