There’s nothing quite like trying to explain American traditions — especially Christian ones — to people who’ve never heard of them. Picture this: someone actually trying to make sense of the Easter Bunny for people who have no clue what Easter even means. It’s like explaining freedom to a bureaucrat in Brussels — they just don’t get it.
But here’s the kicker: our traditions are under attack. Globalists and leftists love to roll their eyes at American culture. They want to erase anything rooted in faith, family, or patriotism. That’s why the simple idea of a rabbit delivering candy seems “weird” to outsiders — and, frankly, to half the woke crowd these days. The Easter Bunny? The liberals would probably cancel him for promoting “toxic masculinity” or something.
It’s embarrassing when you realize how little respect old-fashioned values get — not just abroad, but right here at home. Try mentioning that Easter is about Jesus rising from the dead and you’ll get a lecture from the usual suspects about “separation of church and state.” But you won’t hear a peep from these same people when taxpayer money goes toward drag queen story hours or some radical new diversity training.
Americans shouldn’t be ashamed of our customs. The Easter Bunny, as goofy as he may seem, actually celebrates joy, innocence, and renewal — all things the progressive left detests. Liberals are quick to lecture us about cultural “sensitivity,” but how about a little sensitivity for the Americans who built this country on faith and family? The elites want us embarrassed, apologizing for who we are, for traditions that make us unique.
So here’s a thought: maybe the real embarrassment isn’t having to explain the Easter Bunny. Maybe it’s the modern left losing their minds over every tradition that doesn’t fit their agenda. Let them snicker. The rest of us will keep hiding eggs, celebrating freedom, and teaching our kids to be proud of what makes America great. If the Easter Bunny offends them, that’s probably a sign we’re doing something right.
