Instead of fixing the broken streets, crushing crime problem, or skyrocketing homelessness, Governor Gavin Newsom has decided to waste another pile of your hard-earned tax dollars—this time, to polish his own image. The state is shelling out a jaw-dropping $19 million for a public relations blitz, hoping to distract the country from the mess Sacramento created. This isn’t leadership. It’s vanity with a price tag.
Californians already know Newsom is obsessed with chasing headlines and cozying up to the progressive elite. But using taxpayer funds to hire slick PR firms? That’s a new low, even for a state run by Democrat operatives. Instead of rolling up his sleeves and tackling real issues—like the flood of people fleeing California, the businesses shutting their doors, or the criminals running wild in plain sight—Newsom is funneling public money to a high-powered firm so the world won’t see the truth.
The hypocrisy is thick. These so-called champions of the little guy never spend a dime unless it benefits their own agenda. While families are scraping by to pay rent or find safe neighborhoods, Newsom’s administration is writing fat checks to coastal consultants. Californians are told to accept higher taxes, nose-diving schools, and open borders. Meanwhile, the globalist elite in Sacramento spend our money to convince folks that California’s decline is nothing but “disinformation.”
Anyone with eyes can see that the Golden State has lost its shine under leftist rule. Newsom’s pals in the media already bend over backwards to cover up the exodus of residents, the fentanyl crisis, and energy blackouts. Now they need a $19 million bonus? At what point do taxpayers shout “enough!”? How many failed policies does it take before the ruling class stops blaming everyone else and admits their utopian schemes just don’t work?
This latest stunt proves the radical left has no answers—only more expensive smoke and mirrors. California’s hardworking families deserve safer streets, lower taxes, and leaders who actually serve the people. Instead, they get another PR package, paid for by the very folks Newsom ignores. Why is the governor so desperate to hide the truth? Maybe he knows the voters are waking up.
