Congressman finally draws red line on Iran while liberals push dangerous nuclear fantasies

It’s about time someone in Congress showed a little backbone on Iran. Rep. Mike Lawler is drawing a clear line in the sand: American ground troops should never set foot in Iran, unless it’s to keep the world’s most dangerous weapons out of the hands of terrorist thugs. That’s what real leadership looks like.

For years, liberals have tiptoed around Iran, desperate to strike silly deals and send pallets of cash in hopes the mad mullahs will magically play nice. All the while, Iran laughs at us, churning out enriched uranium like candy in a factory. The left gushes about peace and diplomacy, while the number-one terror sponsor on earth inches ever closer to a nuclear bomb. Are they naive—or just willfully blind?

Iran isn’t a country looking for make-believe “understanding” with global elites. It’s a regime openly promising to wipe nations off the map. The liberal fantasy has always been that if America just whispers sweet nothings to dictators, everything will work out. That myth has only made the world a more dangerous place.

Thank God for voices like Rep. Lawler who understand what’s at stake. He’s not rushing to send boots on the ground—far from it. He’s saying that the only red line that matters is denying the world’s worst actors a nuclear arsenal. American strength is about more than chest-thumping—it’s about drawing lines evil men fear to cross.

The next time a liberal genius proposes another “historic deal” with Tehran, remember this: Weakness invites aggression. We need leaders who are willing to say what’s obvious—U.S. troops belong only where vital American interests are at risk. Nuclear bombs in Iranian hands? That’s one hell of a risk. When the chips are down, will the left stand up for America—or keep appeasing our enemies?
