Liberals block young heroes from fighting fires while firehouses sit empty and lives are at risk

Liberals love to preach about “helping the community,” but when it comes to giving young, hard-working Americans the chance to serve as firefighters, they slam the door shut. Right now, outdated laws say you can’t be a firefighter until you’re 21. That’s a slap in the face to patriotic young men and women ready to save lives and put their own on the line. And despite support from the very unions that usually back Democrat causes, lawmakers are dragging their feet on changing these rules. Why? Because the left can’t resist micromanaging every detail of your life—even if it means communities have fewer firefighters when emergencies strike.

The facts are clear: plenty of 18, 19, and 20-year-olds have the strength, courage, and drive to do this job. We trust them to vote, serve in the military, and even die for our country. But the leftist bureaucracy claims they’re too young to ride on a fire truck or swing an axe to save a neighbor. It’s never about common sense with these people. It’s always about control and power.

Here’s the kicker—even the firefighter unions want the age lowered. You’d think politicians would jump at the chance, since unions are their usual cash cows. But once again, the liberal agenda gets in the way. They worry more about regulations and red tape than about recruiting energetic first responders who actually want to work. Let’s be honest—our towns and cities need more firefighters, not fewer. But the left keeps blocking the door with nonsense rules and political games.
