Liberals push peace with Iran and the world laughs as America gets burned again

Once again, the endless mess in the Middle East is proving how naïve liberal foreign policy really is. People in power are floating the idea of a short ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran. The goal? Try to stop things from blowing up even more. But it’s laughable to think dictators and thugs in Tehran care about signed deals or “nice guy” diplomacy. Iran just flat-out rejected even the idea of a temporary truce. Clearly, weakness is not respected in that part of the world.

What’s most shocking is how some in our government seem desperate to play nice. The proposal on the table would give Iran a 45-day time-out. What do you think Iran would do with that break? Maybe reload, regroup, and get ready to go right back to stirring up chaos. When America gives these hostile regimes even a little breathing room, we get stabbed in the back. History proves it.

President Trump, to his credit, did not fall for the bait. Unlike professional appeasers in Washington, he refused to rubber-stamp this weak-kneed plan. Trump’s America First instincts told him a deal with Iran is nothing but a trap. He didn’t help the radical regime reopen the Strait of Hormuz just so they’d have an easier time threatening our allies—or jacking up gas prices for American families. Maybe that’s why the left hated him: he played hardball instead of crawling to our enemies.

Meanwhile, the liberal elites and their globalist friends will never admit their approach is a disaster. They want endless talks and meaningless “peace” agreements, no matter how often those fail. They pretend Iran is a misunderstood neighbor we should trust. But every time the world tries to make nice with these extremists, it’s America and our soldiers who pay the price.

It’s time to stop pretending monsters like the Iranian regime can be tamed with handshakes and signatures. Appeasement is not strength. It’s not “smart diplomacy”—it’s surrender. Why are we still letting the same Ivy League geniuses put American lives and values at risk? Maybe the real question is: how much longer are we going to let our leaders play footsie with our enemies and call it peace?
