Is Zohran Mamdani’s equity plan destroying New York’s future with fake fairness

Zohran Mamdani is at it again, promoting his latest “racial equity plan” for New York City. Liberals like him love tossing around the buzzwords—diversity, equity, inclusion. But let’s be real: these are fancy ways of pushing legalized discrimination. The only thing “equity” delivers is a slap in the face to hard-working New Yorkers who actually believe in merit.

Here’s what the left won’t tell you—these so-called equity plans aren’t about lifting everyone up. They’re about dragging some people down, all to satisfy radical activists who think America is defined by oppression. Instead of treating everyone equally and judging based on character and skills, Mamdani and his friends want to rig the system. One group gets handouts, while another is told to stand aside, even if they’ve put in the work.

New Yorkers are tired of being guinea pigs for feel-good social experiments. Everyone knows what happens when politicians talk about “ensuring equitable outcomes.” It means government gets to decide who wins and who loses—not hard work, not talent, not effort. This is socialism in a shiny package, plain and simple.

But here’s the bigger problem: these policies don’t just hurt individuals. They weaken the backbone of the entire city. When you reward people for the color of their skin rather than the content of their work, the whole system rots. Businesses struggle. Neighborhoods fracture. Crime soars. That’s the real legacy of equity madness.

How much longer will New Yorkers put up with leaders who would rather divide us by race than unite us as Americans? If this is progress, count me out. Maybe Mamdani and his cheerleaders should try promoting excellence instead of envy.
