If there’s ever been a contest that shows how lost today’s Democrats truly are, Maine’s Senate primary is it. The party’s so-called rising star isn’t some moderate or even a halfway reasonable liberal, but a 41-year-old oyster farmer named Graham Platner with more skeletons in his closet than a Halloween store. He’s already celebrating victory, acting like the nomination is in the bag, and telling everyone to brace for the general. But anyone who cares about American values should be paying attention — because Platner is the face of the radical, hateful new Left.
This is the guy liberals think should be their champion? Platner’s track record reads like a warning label for anyone who still believes in law and order or common sense. He trashed rural voters — the backbone of this country — then tried to train with an extremist rifle club that’s basically Antifa with a different name. And let’s not ignore the Nazi tattoos — he apologized, then backtracked, because why bother standing for anything when your whole campaign is built on chaos?
But Democrats don’t care. They just want someone who will burn it all to the ground and punish those who stand in the way of their power grab. Platner is already looking ahead, promising to impeach not one, but two Supreme Court justices if he ever gets his hands on any power. That’s how the Left operates: When they don’t like the rules, they just change the game. That attitude should worry every freedom-loving American.
Meanwhile, his opponent Janet Mills looks like a fossil from a time when Democrats at least pretended to be rational. Mills has tried every dirty trick in the book, running ugly attack ads, dragging up the worst of social media culture, and hoping the mud will stick. But Platner’s campaign doesn’t even flinch. Why should they? The polls claim he’s miles ahead, and the so-called “progressives” are all-in, cheering on the most radical candidate in generations.
So here we are: the Democratic Party in Maine is handing its future to a man who cozied up to violent extremists and can’t decide if he’s sorry for displaying Nazi ink. If this is who the coastal elite wants to send to Washington, the rest of America had better wake up fast. If Platner is their solution, what does that say about their values? The Maine primary isn’t just over — it’s proof that the Democratic Party is, too.
