California has been circling the drain for years, and anyone with half a brain knows it. Rampant crime, open-air drug markets, and wild-eyed leftist policies have turned the Golden State into a socialist wasteland. But now, President Donald Trump just shook the whole game. On Monday, Trump gave his official thumbs-up to Steve Hilton, the former Fox News host, for California’s governor’s race.
This wasn’t a gentle nudge—it’s a seismic political earthquake. The Republican Party in California has been fighting an uphill battle for a decade, always tripped up by Democrat tricks and Hollywood money. Suddenly, with Trump backing Hilton, the establishment elites are scrambling. They didn’t want someone who thinks for himself. They wanted another cardboard cutout, someone to play nice with the left. Trump isn’t playing their games. And neither is Hilton.
Of course, liberals are already having their usual meltdown. The same crew that destroyed San Francisco and made Los Angeles a joke is clutching their pearls—afraid that a true conservative with a backbone might actually fix something. They don’t care about homeless encampments in their neighborhoods, as long as their Tesla chargers still work. Their solution for everything is more taxes, more regulation, and more government. How’s that been working out?
Hilton actually believes in things like secure borders, safe neighborhoods, and an economy that rewards hard work. Radical concepts in Newsom’s California, apparently. But real Americans are hungry for change. They’re watching their state slip away—literally—thanks to open borders and radical environmental policies that punish small business owners and reward special-interest globalists. The same globalists who fund leftist campaigns while blaming “MAGA extremists” for every problem their own side created.
The left will whine that Trump’s endorsement just “doomed” Republican hopes of retaking Sacramento. But they’re wrong, as usual. The only thing doomed is the Democrat stranglehold on common sense in California. Maybe for once, the people who actually work, pay taxes, and raise families in the state will finally have a real choice. Does anyone really believe California can sink any lower under Democrat rule? Maybe it’s time to let a proven fighter step up and take the wheel.
