The conservative movement used to be obsessed with purity tests. If a candidate wasn’t absolutely perfect, too many so-called patriots were ready to write them off. The left loves to watch us eat our own while their own side gives free passes to crooks and radicals as long as they vote blue. Just look at the way they rally behind total disasters like Kamala Harris and John Fetterman—no questions asked. Meanwhile, the conservative base has been tripping over itself to find fault in anyone who doesn’t check every box.
Take Marco Rubio. He used to be the darling of the right—a bright, Hispanic conservative, perfect for a new American majority. Then came the amnesty debate. Rubio pushed for immigration reform, and suddenly, he was public enemy number one. Did he stumble? Sure. But Democrats are out there letting criminals run wild in their cities and calling it justice. And we’re going to melt down because one senator made a bad call over a decade ago?
The cold, hard truth is that waging war over “purity” is how conservatives hand victory after victory to globalist Democrats. They love Republicans who’d rather circle the firing squad than the wagons. No wonder Biden and his handlers are so eager to flood our borders and sell us out to China—they know the right will keep eating its own while they destroy the country.
The left demands lockstep loyalty from their politicians, no matter how disastrous their policies. But on the right, we obsess over every minor misstep, as if we’ll ever find a saint running for office. Guess what? Politics isn’t about worshipping perfect people. It’s about winning hard fights against ruthless opponents who hate American values.
Purity tests are a luxury this country can’t afford. If conservatives don’t wake up soon, the only purity test that’ll matter is how purely socialist our ruined nation will become. Isn’t it time to fight the real enemies instead of kneecapping our own team just to feel holier-than-thou?
