The Republican Party is supposed to stand for law and order, secure borders, and putting America first. But now here comes Rep. Mike Lawler from New York, jumping right into bed with Democrats—again. He’s dusting off the so-called “Dignity Act,” a massive immigration bill that practically waves the white flag at our borders. Conservatives across the country are right to be furious.
Let’s call this what it is: a wide-open door for amnesty. The folks who broke our laws and come here illegally would get a free shot at forgiveness under this plan. This isn’t “dignity.” This is yet another sellout of hardworking Americans who play by the rules. Lawler seems more interested in making deals with the left and pleasing globalist donors, instead of listening to the people who actually elected him.
Why is it always Republicans like Lawler who are ready to roll over on border security? Liberals have found useful idiots who are happy to do their dirty work. Make no mistake: every time a so-called Republican sides with open border schemes, it’s American communities who pay the price. Our schools, hospitals, and streets get overwhelmed while politicians pat each other on the back in Washington.
Grassroots conservatives are sounding the alarm because they know amnesty never stops at one round. It always leads to more crime, more handouts, and fewer jobs for citizens. Lawler and his friends in both parties are desperately trying to repackage amnesty as “compassion.” But there’s nothing compassionate about letting our country get hollowed out while illegal aliens get rewarded.
If Lawler wants to be a Democrat, he should switch parties and do everyone a favor. But don’t pretend you stand for conservative values while shoving amnesty down our throats. This bill is a slap in the face to every American who cares about borders and sovereignty. How many more Republicans are going to betray their base before voters finally say enough is enough?
