The Democrats are at it again, scrambling to slap a fresh coat of paint on their tired, out-of-touch candidates. Now they expect Americans to believe they’re suddenly “populists”—champions of the little guy. Seriously? For decades, these limousine liberals have looked down their noses at working-class Americans, especially those who don’t check the right political boxes.
It started back in the 1980s. Remember how they mocked Ronald Reagan and his supporters? The left called Reagan’s fans ignorant, backward, even dangerous. They were happy to ridicule anyone who didn’t go along with their elite agenda. Blue-collar workers? Middle Americans? To the Democratic Party, those folks were just a punchline. They acted like anyone proud of their country, their faith, or their traditions was somehow beneath them.
Suddenly, as the election heats up, Democrats are desperate to “rebrand.” Now they’re posing in hard hats, talking about everyday people, and trying to shed their Hollywood image. They hope voters will forget how quickly they sold out the working class in favor of globalist donors, radical activists, and woke billionaires. But Americans aren’t buying it. Voters know it’s just another costume party.
While Democrats play dress-up, their actions still betray them. Time after time, they push policies that ship American jobs overseas, flood the country with cheap labor, and treat the heartland like flyover country. They talk about unity, but their record reeks of division. They lecture about fairness, but their truest loyalty is to party leadership and their global pals—not to the people struggling to pay bills and keep their communities together.
It’s almost funny watching big-name Democrats try so hard to sound “authentic.” They just can’t hide the fact that they view rural America and the working class with suspicion—or even contempt. Every new “populist” sound bite looks forced, almost like a bad sketch on Saturday Night Live. Do they really think a few scripted speeches will make Americans forget decades of disrespect? The only thing more laughable than their phony populism is the idea that real Americans will ever fall for it.
