Democrats have discovered a “brilliant” new plan for ending the Iran war—just hand Iran everything it demands and hope for the best. Representative Ro Khanna, one of California’s finest liberal minds, has it all figured out. His pitch? America should order an immediate ceasefire, drag in China and Russia as our new best friends, and then roll back sanctions on Iran so we can all sit around a table and sing kumbaya. The best part? Apparently, this is supposed to make us safer and lower gas prices.
Let’s be clear about what this plan really is: a gift basket for the Iranian regime and a slap in the face to our allies. Khanna and his Democrat pals want to involve China—the same country hacking U.S. infrastructure every day—and Russia—the same thugs invading their neighbors—in overseeing America’s strategy in the Middle East. It’s like asking the neighborhood bullies to babysit your kids. Who actually thinks handing over our foreign policy to Beijing and Moscow is a smart move? Oh, that’s right: the same party that thought the Iran Deal was a good idea.
While real Americans worry about Iran’s push for nuclear weapons and their control over the Strait of Hormuz—a vital waterway for the world’s oil—Khanna offers nothing of substance. He isn’t worried about stopping Iran from building a bomb; he just wants us to promise never to stop them. Iran gets “ironclad” safety guarantees and every incentive to keep playing games with the U.S. The Democrats can’t even say the word “victory” without rolling their eyes. No surprise—they stand for endless negotiations, fake progress, and letting our enemies walk all over us.
Notice how Democrats blame the current gas prices on the war, whining about how things were cheaper before. That’s classic liberal spin. They create a crisis, then try to sell us surrender as the magic solution. Just look at the Obama administration’s failed appeasement—nearly two billion dollars sent to Tehran, and still, Iran just ramped up their nuclear efforts and spread terror wherever possible. And what’s the latest solution? Hand over the keys and pray that global tyrants play nice.
This is just another sad example of the left’s “lead from behind” fantasy. They’ll sell out American strength for shallow deals and press conferences with foreign enemies. The only ones happy about Khanna’s plan are the mullahs running Iran and their friends in Moscow and Beijing. If Democrats are this eager to give away American leverage, maybe they should try negotiating their own work hours with China and let real leaders like President Trump handle America’s security. How long will Americans tolerate politicians who put global elites ahead of our own country?
