House Democrats showed their true colors yet again this week, racing to call lawmakers back to session to pull the plug on the Iran conflict before so much as a real fight begins. Apparently, when President Trump stands up to dangerous regimes and issues a warning that actually means something, the liberal leadership can’t handle it. They’d rather run for the nearest safe space than defend American strength on the world stage.
Let’s be honest: This is what happens when globalist priorities replace patriotism. Democrat elites are more worried about appeasing Tehran and virtue-signaling on Twitter than protecting our soldiers or standing up for freedom. The minute things get serious, they panic about “World War III” instead of recognizing that weakness, not strength, invites disaster. Does anyone actually believe Tehran’s mullahs will stop their aggression just because Washington politicians roll over?
It’s laughable that these same Democrats who spent years trashing President Trump’s foreign policy now want to take away every tool that keeps America safe. Iran has been a hotbed of terror for decades. When Trump puts them on notice, they cry foul. When he draws a line, they try to erase it. This isn’t about peace—it’s about bowing to enemies and undermining their own president, all for political points.
Meanwhile, who benefits from this cowardice? Certainly not the people of America. House Democrats are more interested in appeasing radical regimes and international bureaucrats than protecting American interests. Forget supporting the troops—Democrat leadership would rather sit around, wring their hands, and lecture us about “deescalation.” If liberal politicians had their way, the United States would be nothing but a doormat for every rogue nation.
At some point, Americans need to ask: Whose side are these politicians really on? Time and again, the left proves they’d rather blame their own country than confront evil abroad. Maybe it’s time the House Democrats stopped running from responsibility and started acting like Americans. Or is that asking too much?
