It’s become almost predictable. Every time the left wants attention, another washed-up Hollywood figure comes out swinging against the values that built America. This week, it’s Chelsea Handler, a so-called comedian who apparently finds more fulfillment in bashing marriage than telling actual jokes. According to Handler, traditional marriage is “outdated” and “silly”—because, heaven forbid, a person might value commitment and loyalty these days.
Handler rambled on, claiming that marriage somehow reduces women to “property.” It’s hard to imagine a more out-of-touch take, especially when strong marriages are the backbone of thriving communities. Liberals like Handler want us to believe that freedom means tossing away traditions, but all they offer in exchange is emptiness, self-indulgence, and the constant pursuit of temporary pleasures.
This is classic leftist hypocrisy at work. The same crowd that screams about “patriarchy” wants women to trade family and stability for a life of loneliness and confusion. They mock marriage, but ignore the actual dangers facing women in modern society—broken families, rising crime, and a culture that treats everyone like disposable objects. In their world, “freedom” means shunning responsibility and pretending real connection doesn’t matter.
Let’s be real. No Hollywood millionaire can tell the majority of Americans what matters. For generations, marriage has been the foundation of this country. It’s not about “owning” anyone—it’s about building a life together, raising kids with real values, and giving hope to the next generation. But the same elites who cheer for broken families are happy to push their anti-American agenda while hiding behind their fame and fortune.
Maybe if Handler and her fellow activists spent less time tearing down what works, and more time facing the real issues, this country wouldn’t be as broken as the left wants it. But of course, it’s easier to mock faith, family, and tradition than to admit the truth: America needs strong marriages now more than ever. Isn’t it odd how the loudest critics of family values are the ones who seem the most lost?
