Iranian officials are whining again—this time, screaming at the United Nations nuclear watchdog for supposedly “doing nothing” about U.S. and Israeli airstrikes. Mohammed Eslami, Iran’s top nuclear man, has the nerve to accuse the International Atomic Energy Agency of ignoring dangers that, frankly, Iran has brought on itself. Is anyone really surprised at this level of hypocrisy? Iran threatens its region, toys with nuclear capabilities, and then tries to play the victim when Israel or America acts to keep the world safe.
Let’s face it: the globalist crowd at the U.N. always bends over backward for rogue states like Iran. But now, suddenly, Iran claims the U.N. agency isn’t working hard enough to protect it from Western firepower. Cry a river. Maybe if Iran wasn’t building secret nuclear sites and cozying up to terrorist proxies, there’d be no need for military action from the civilized world.
This mess reeks of the left’s constant excuse-making for bad actors. Whenever Iran feels heat from the West, progressives and their friends in international agencies act shocked and clutch their pearls. But when American or Israeli security is on the line, these same people want endless “dialogue” and “restraint”—even as Iran funds chaos across the Middle East. It’s no wonder Iran feels comfortable accusing everyone else when liberal elites reward its bad behavior time and time again.
While Iran cries foul, liberals at home and abroad refuse to call out the real danger here. Instead, they wring their hands about “peace” and “diplomacy” while Iran’s regime cements its power and bullies its neighbors. Meanwhile, our allies—like Israel—are forced to act when the U.N. does nothing. That’s the kind of “inaction” the world really needs to worry about.
It’s a classic case: Iran does whatever it wants, the global left makes excuses, and Americans are supposed to just sit back and watch. Maybe if the world’s watchdogs actually had some teeth—and if liberal leaders cared more about safety than virtue-signaling—the West wouldn’t be stuck cleaning up Iran’s mess. How much longer will we let bullies like Iran play the victim while the rest of us pay the price?
