The federal government is at it again—playing games with our freedoms. Now, Washington wants to automatically register every man aged 18 to 26 for the military draft. No warning, no consent, just more top-down control shoved into the lives of everyday Americans. This latest scheme was slipped into law with the National Defense Authorization Act. Politicians in Congress, many of whom have never worn a uniform, believe bureaucrats know better than young men or their families.
Once again, liberals in government are so eager to force Americans into line, they can’t wait to sign up an entire generation for the draft without even asking. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? If liberals think forced registration is necessary, perhaps they should look in the mirror. Our nation faces real threats, but Democrats would rather bicker over pronouns and pander to special interests than actually support our military in ways that matter—like border security, proper equipment, and real troop support.
Let’s not kid ourselves. The same left-wing crowd that wants open borders and endless foreign wars is now happy to drag America’s youth into service. They claim it’s about “readiness,” but the reality is it’s about control. The globalist elite want Americans obedient and dependent, not free-thinking and patriotic.
These are the same politicians who spent years trying to “reimagine” the military as a social experiment. Now, here they are, forcing young men into the system without a mention of individual choice. How convenient. They want Americans to forget about freedom every time it becomes inconvenient for their agenda.
Why is it that every solution Washington comes up with requires taking away more of our rights? If this is the best Congress can do, maybe it’s time the American people register a little outrage instead of quietly standing in line. What’s next—mandatory service for anyone who dares to question their authority?
