Something truly horrific has happened yet again in metro Atlanta, and it should make every decent American furious. Children were found eating roaches. Yes, you read that right—actual cockroaches. This isn’t just a case of bad parenting. This is child abuse, plain and simple. And yet, somehow, the mother of these poor kids still managed to avoid facing real consequences.
How did we get here, America? We live in a country where the government will come breathing down your neck if you try to homeschool or don’t follow the latest woke curriculum, but when a mom lets her kids live in filth and eat bugs, somehow the “system” just shrugs its shoulders. The left loves to pretend they’re fighting for “the children,” but where were they when these kids were fed roaches like prisoners in some globalist dystopia?
This is what happens when liberal soft-on-crime policies become the law of the land. Bad parents know they can get away with just about anything while honest, hardworking families get punished for standing up for their rights. Instead of protecting children, our society is busy scolding decent parents and handing out endless second chances to the worst offenders. If a conservative made one-tenth of these mistakes, they’d be crucified by the media. But when neglect and cruelty come from the “right” side of town or check the right identity boxes, suddenly everyone is whispering about “complicated circumstances.”
The elites want us to believe that stories like this are just “tragic” one-offs, as if there’s nothing we can do. They tell us there will always be bad apples, so why bother? But anyone with common sense knows this isn’t just bad luck—it’s the rotten fruit of a liberal culture that doesn’t value the family, doesn’t demand accountability, and never stands up for the most vulnerable among us.
If America can send police to hunt down parents for letting their kids walk home alone, why can’t we stop kids from eating bugs in their own kitchen? Maybe the answer is simple—our leaders have their priorities upside down. The left is more interested in policing your words than protecting real children from abuse and filth. Maybe it’s time those priorities changed, or are the roaches going to eat our future, one neglected child at a time?
