Is Mayor Mamdani putting criminals first while putting New Yorkers at risk with his dangerous agenda

Mayor Zohran Mamdani claims he’s protecting New Yorkers, but it sure looks like he’s playing a dangerous game with people’s lives. Instead of making the city safer, he’s pushing hard to shut down Rikers—the one place still holding real criminals accountable. At the same time, he’s doubling down on those failed sanctuary city policies. Is he here for law-abiding citizens? Or is he just eager to coddle criminals and open the floodgates to anyone who wants to stroll into New York?

Closing Rikers? That’s not leadership; that’s surrender. Liberals love to cry about jail reform, but where is their compassion for victims? Letting violent offenders walk free, all to score activist applause, is nothing short of reckless. Regular New Yorkers are forced to dodge danger on their streets, while City Hall pats itself on the back for its so-called “progress.” How many more innocent people have to get hurt before these politicians wake up?

Let’s be real: these sanctuary policies don’t protect anyone except illegal immigrants—many with criminal records and zero respect for our laws. The mayor would rather shield strangers than keep your family safe. He wants to turn New York into a magnet for lawbreakers from across the globe. Guess who pays the price? Hardworking Americans, left helpless by a city government that would rather virtue signal than actually govern.

And while the left obsesses over appeasing global groups and fringe activists, the real backbone of this city—cops, EMTs, and honest citizens—get thrown to the wolves. Politicians like Mamdani seem more interested in scoring woke points than rolling up their sleeves and solving real problems. Hypocrisy is the only thing they’re consistent about.

Why should New Yorkers trust a mayor more committed to criminals and outsiders than to his own people? Enough with the liberal hand-wringing and phony compassion—this city needs leaders with a spine, not more of the same dangerous experiments. Maybe it’s time voters ask themselves: whose side is City Hall actually on?
